The W427 rides 20mm lower and uses twenty percent firmer springs so the handling and road holding should take the HSV on a whole new level. You’ll be able to pick it from lesser HSV’s by its Audi like blacked out grill, carbon-fibre rear spoiler, huge 20 inch allow wheels, and unique exhaust outlets.

Limited production numbers are forecast as HSV is still putting on the finishing touches to a model that some observers are already calling ‘Australia’s first Supercar’.

The W427 is a fitting way for HSV to celebrate it’s 20th anniversary in this year (2008)

HSN today officially revealed the W427, a model that was first unveield at the Melbourne Motorshow in ‘showcar’ format. The car began production at the company’s Clayton based facility this week and sales of the seven litre 375kW ‘Supercar’ have begun in dealerships around Australia. The car is limited to only 427 units, and the entire 80 units for 2008 have been pre-sold and will retail for $155,500, plus on road costs.

Twenty years on from the SV88, Holden Special Vehicles has released a limited run of 50 HSV Senator Signature SV08. Production is limited to 20 manual and 30 automatic Senator SV08 models priced from $82,700.

The luxury SV08 receives exclusive lower paint-outs, sill plates and additional chrome accenting on the side mirrors and door handles. The 20 inch Pentagon wheel is standard on this model.

The manual HSV Senator Signature SV08 receives the new Tremec TR6060 gearbox and colour options are Nitrate (Silver), Sting Red and Voodoo (Blue).

Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) has today announced that the R8 Tourer will join the ClubSport R8 in its luxury and performance line-up later this year. In October sales will start in Australia of the R8 Tourer, the wagon version of the ClubSport R8.

Performance of the R8 Tourer will be similar to the ClubSport R8, but pricing and final specifications are not yet available and will be released closer to the launch date. Just like the other V8 powered cars in the HSV range, the new R8 Tourer will also be using the new LS3 engine.

Based on Holden’s Astra SRi Turbo (which is also based on the European Opel Astra), the VXR version of this turbocharged, 4-cylinder coupe gets an added boost in power, along with bigger wheels and other go-fast bits. The version HSV imports into Australia doesn’t have any HSV insignia inside the cabin. Instead, Opel insignia remains on the steering wheel and dashboard.

Holden has revealed the HSV Senator Signature SV08 limited edition in Australian International Motor Show. HSV Senator Signature SV08 is powered by a V8 engine developing 317 kW coupled with a new Tremec TR6060 gearbox.

HSV Senator Signature SV08 sits on 20″ Pentagon wheels as standard, and featuring a Magnetic Ride Control suspension with Sport mode, and also a front and rear Park Assist system.
